- Just with my experience, but if motor is not spinning, the drive
- may not be identified correctly. My Quantum LP105S uses the
- same controller board with LP52S, so if the motor is not spinning,
- the drive will be identified as LP52S.

- You can get more information with ScsiUtil's -i command. If it
- doesn't show correct serial number, the drive is definitely not
- spinning with Quantum LPS drives.

- Whacking a drive is not a good idea, IMHO. Rotating the drive
- horizontally is suffice to supply initial torque.
